BIO
Mark Vogler is a licensed sales agent at BHHS Laffey’s Huntington office. Born and raised in Deer Park to a middle-class blue-collar family, Mark spent a good part of his childhood at residential building sites watching his father build homes throughout Suffolk County. “I was fascinated at an early age seeing my father build homes on vacant parcels of land. I would go to the job sites every chance I had and was always asking questions, very eager to learn. I worked on the new homes as much as possible during summer vacations from when I was 12 years old until I graduated high school.” By age 19 Mark formed his own construction company called M. Vogler Builders Inc. and by 22 he saved enough money to purchase his first building lot in Islip, construct a new home and sell it for a modest profit. Through the years he learned what buyers wanted in a home and how to market each unique property to them. They had to be very innovative and resourceful in the 90’s prior to the internet and social media. “Yard signs, Newsday and the Penny Saver were our most effective marketing tools.”
Mark went on to build 12 homes over the next 30 years while running his construction company full time. Over the years he gained a vast amount of knowledge buying and managing rental properties to secure a future for his family. At the age of 50, he decided to use his knowledge of home building, construction, property management and sales to help others buy and sell their homes. A career in real estate was the perfect fit! He is now a full-time sales agent partnered with his girlfriend Gina Marie DeMaio and they love what they do! Mark’s construction background brings a tremendous amount of value to his clients as he is able to see things in a home that most people don’t see, potentially avoiding unforeseen problems in the future. “Construction is a young man’s game so I’m thrilled to be able to continue working in an industry I’m passionate about. I look forward to getting up for work every day, I truly love what I do.”
