After 6 months of having our house on the market with no realistic offers, we gave up on our realtor and went with Joyce on the recommendation of a very street-smart friend who told us we absolutely had to go with her. Joyce understood the market well enough give us the "tough" facts, but once we listened to her the house got us our asking price after 5 weeks of being listed. Namely - we had to totally stage the home, repaint strategically, redo certain old-school walls and ceilings, and basically make it a home that appeals to today's buyer. Although we had beautiful things in our home, and friends always admired our artistry and style, it turned out today's youthful buyers have different taste, and once we bit the bullet and made the changes Joyce knew we had to make, it all worked. To top it off, she expertly handled potential buyers to make sure they appreciated the value they were getting and were willing to make their best offer. Once the agreement was reached, she and her excellent team stuck with us throughout what turned out to be a sticky legal process of consummating the deal, (not her fault at all), and she and her team never abandoned us throughout - showed honest and sincere concern and active support. We also have to give a special thanks to her team, especially Sandy and George - these people are excellent and smart hard workers in their own right, and it is a reflection on Joyce that she brought them on to work with her. We're just grateful to our friend for letting me know at the beginning that we absolutely had to go with Joyce.

After living in our house for 30 years, my husband and I decided we were ready to sell and buy a condo. We decided to use Joyce Styne as our broker upon recommendation by a friend. As I got to know Joyce I began to feel that Joyce was more than just my real estate broker. She was actually my friend. She always told me to call her if I needed to speak to her about anything and I always felt she was there for me. When we first sat down to decide on an asking price for our house, I was pleased to hear Joyce ask us where we were interested in moving to. This gave me a sense of security because I felt that Joyce was going to help us through this whole process. Because Joyce has a staff of people working with her, you never feel alone in this process. As Joyce and her staff worked on selling our house, her associate Sandi, took me out to look at condos. Within about three months after we began this process we had sold our house and found a beautiful condo. As you work with Joyce, you begin to feel that Joyce really does care about you as her clients, wants to make you happy, and is not just doing this for the money. The house was elegant in every respect but it was unfortunately on a main road with few neighbors. This eliminated much of he potential buyer pool. Joyce, who I have known for many years, used all of her skills and persistence to ultimately find a buyer and close he sale.
